My research focuses mainly on the theory of thermal conductivity in solids. In particular, I have worked in the fusion energy field, applying phonon scattering theory to determine the effect of the fusion environment on various materials (most recently in diamond). While at Merrimack, I have continued with this and other work and have received grants and consulting contracts from various organizations, including the U.S. Department of Energy, Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Boston Scientific.
